Family Friendly Candle Making Workshop (Ages 5+)

Join us at our store & studio in Port Douglas for a family friendly workshop where you got to make & personalise your own candle!

During the one and half hour workshop, we’ll walk you through the basics of candle making, where everyone will have the chance to make their very own candle. Our workshop is designed to be a fun memorable day out & mindful unleash creativity rather than a heavily detailed training on making candles. You’ll get a hands-on experience, learning about different types of waxes available for candle making, wick, set and label your vessel, and how to choose a favourite scent - it’s perfect for beginners & all ages! 

Please note, the price is for one ticket. If you are booking for yourself and your child, you will both need a ticket. All children must be accompanied by an adult who is also participating in the workshop.

Kids ticket (Ages 5 - 15): $39.95

Adults ticket (Ages 16+): $54.95

Each workshop comes with:

• Experienced local chandler
• A personalised small size (Net 100g | Burn time 20h) of scented soy wax candle to bring home - we use 100% natural soy wax and wood wick for our candle
• We have 90+ fragrance, absolute, and essential oils to choose from to create your unique scents
• All the materials needed to make your candle
• A relaxed and air conditioned studio space
• Complimentary a glass of juice, coffee, tea, or sparkling water (Feel free to bring your own bevies or snacks)
• Bonus! You'll receive a 10% discount for any Scents Journey products that you’d like to purchase on the day (eftpos is available)

What you need to bring:

• A sense of curiosity and creativity
• Comfortable clothes (we will supply you with an apron to wear during the session)

Each session is limited to 6 people to allow space, room and time. Please arrive a few minutes early so that we can start the workshop on time. We also offer private bookings for family or group events in our studio or your chosen location (please send your enquiry through our contact form).

Important things to note:

• Gift Voucher purchases can be redeemed on any future available workshop.
• Your candle will take approximately 3 hours to set & you'll receive an email or text as soon as your candle is ready to collect. You are welcome to collect it during our store hours or any other time by appointment. We also offer free local delivery (Port Douglas), including to your hotel lobby. If you're from out of town - we can ship your candle to you for $12 to anywhere in Australia.
• If you need to cancel for any reason, we can reschedule your ticket to another date or a full refund is available with at least 7 days notice. Bookings cancelled less than 7 days notice will incur a charge of 20% fee. We have a small workshop with limited seats, unfortunately no refund is available for no show or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.

Shop 11, 27 Warner Street, Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia 4877 (Located in the same complex with On the Spot Signs, Cobra Queen, and Basement Pilates - there is plenty of parking on the premises). Look for the shed that smells really good!
