Step into The Scents Bar, home to 40 good smelling oils displayed along our Scent Wall!
In this 45 minutes session, you’ll have the chance to mix & match up to 3 scents to create a custom blend that’s truly your own (don't worry, we'll teach you how!). This workshop is designed to be short & simple - perfect for adults & kids aged 10+. A fun, creative experience without the complexity!
When you arrive, our friendly team will guide you through the scents blending process. Once you've chosen your perfect combination, we’ll hand pour your chosen product: custom candle, reed diffuser, room and linen mist, or diffuser oil.
It will be ready to take home straight away for home fragrances & for candle, it will be ready for pickup the next day during our shop hours (Mon-Sat, 10-3pm) or at another time by appointment. We also offer free local delivery within Port Douglas, including to your hotel lobby. Visiting from out of town? No problem - we can post your candle anywhere in Australia for just $12.
Once you’ve completed The Scents Bar, you’ll receive your personalised scent recipe card - so you can re-order your custom blend anytime (in-store or online), without needing to do the full workshop again.
Please note, the price is for one ticket. If you are booking for yourself and your child, you will both need a ticket. Children under 10 years must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Each workshop comes with:
- Experienced local chandler
- All the materials needed to make your candle or home fragrances
- A relaxed and air conditioned space
- Bonus! You'll receive a 10% discount for any Scents Journey products that you’d like to purchase on the day (eftpos is available)
What you need to bring:
- A sense of curiosity and creativity
- Comfortable clothes (we will supply you with an apron to wear during the session)
Each session is limited to 12 people to allow space, room and time. Please arrive a few minutes early so that we can start the workshop on time. We also offer private bookings for family or group events (please send your enquiry through our contact form).
Important things to note:
- Gift voucher purchases can be redeemed on any future available workshop.
- If you need to cancel for any reason, we can reschedule your ticket to another date or a full refund is available with at least 7 days notice. Bookings cancelled less than 7 days notice will incur a charge of 20% fee. We have a small workshop with limited seats, unfortunately no refund is available for no show or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.

Shop 10, 11-17 Macrossan St, Port Village Shopping Centre. Located in the same complex with Coles, right across Toast Sandwich Bar.

We offer flat rate standard shipping of $12 and express shipping of $18 Australia wide. Free standard AU shipping over $99, no code is required to activate free shipping.
All orders are shipped on the next business day after an order is placed via Australia Post. Once parcels have been dispatched from our studio you will receive your tracking details via email. Any late, missing, stolen or damaged parcels are to be raised directly through the courier via your tracking number. We cannot be held liable for any incorrect or insufficient shipping address details supplied on purchase resulting in missing parcels.
Returns
We hope that you'll love your new Scents Journey candles and home fragrances when they arrive but if anything isn't right we are happy to help any issues or concerns. Contact us on hello@scentsjourney.com for assistance and we'll get back to you promptly. Please include your order number, photo & description of the issue with your products. As a small business we are continuously learning and improving, we appreciate your support and understanding.
We take every care to ensure your order are properly protected during transit but very occasionally damages may occur. We will replace or refund products damaged during shipment, please contact us by email with proof of damage within 48 hours of receiving the order.
We sadly cannot refund or replace any products that have been used. Please note we also do not offer refunds on change of mind purchases. However, if you're not satisfied with your purchase, you are welcome to exchange your product for another candle of the same size and price within 7 days of purchase. The buyer is responsible for the delivery cost on all returned items. Please keep your proof of posting and ensure that returns are well packaged as we are unable to accept returns that are damaged. We do not accept returns on any products purchased on sale.
