Scents Bar: Candle Making Workshop (Wednesday, May 22nd | 04.00pm - 05.30pm)

Join us at our store & studio in Port Douglas to blend, pour and walk away with your very own handmade candle. Take a break from hustle and bustle, and treat yourself to a relaxing experience where you can unwind, sip on a complimentary wine, and enjoy a yummy nibbles!

During the 90 minutes workshop, we’ll walk you through the basics of candle making. Our Scents Bar is designed to be a fun memorable day out rather than a heavily detailed training on making candles. You’ll get a hands-on experience, learning about different types of waxes available for candle making, wick, set and label your vessel, and how to create your one-of-a-kind scent - it’s perfect for beginners!

Each workshop comes with:

• Experienced local chandler
• A personalised medium scented soy wax candle to bring home - we use 100% natural soy wax and wood wick for our candle (additional items are available to purchase - please let us know at the beginning of the workshop)
• We have 90+ fragrance, absolute, and essential oils to choose from to create your unique scents
• All the materials needed to make your candle
• A relaxed and air conditioned studio space
• A complimentary wine and nibbles - coffee, tea, still & sparkling water also available (all of our Candle Making Workshops are BYO friendly - feel free to bring your bevies, we have glassware available)
• Bonus! You'll receive a 10% discount for any Scents Journey products that you’d like to purchase on the day (eftpos is available)

What you need to bring:

• A sense of curiosity and creativity
• Comfortable clothes (we will supply you with an apron to wear during the session)

It's the perfect date night, a great shared experience alongside your mates or family, or enjoyed on your own. Each session is limited to 6 people to allow space, room and time. Please arrive a few minutes early so that we can start the workshop on time. We also offer private bookings for couple date or group events in our studio or your chosen location (please send your enquiry through our contact form).

Important things to note:

• Your candle will take approximately 4 hours to set. You'll receive an email or text as soon as your candle is ready to collect. You are welcome to collect it during our trading hours, if you're from out of town - we can ship your candle to you for $12 to anywhere in Australia
• If you need to cancel for any reason, we can reschedule your ticket to another date or a full refund is available with 7 days notice. Bookings cancelled between 7 days and 48 hours notice will receive a 50% refund. We have a small workshop with limited seats, unfortunately no refund is available for cancellations with less than 48 hours notice
• Scents Bar Gift Voucher purchases can be redeemed on any future available workshop
